Unusual markings on my wildtype green personata

I don't know, but I love his knitted scarf! Lol that's cute :)

How old is this bird & how long have you had it? If this is a young bird in its original feather, the odd feathering may go away after a first or successive molt.

If your bird is from a breeder, anything is possible and the bird's ancestry is up for speculation because too many breeders have adulterated species gene pools trying to breed a unique bird they could sell for more money. There are 8 species of love birds native to the African continent and a separate specie native to Madagascar and while we might think that species breed within their species in nature, there is so much habitat being lost, that cross-breeding is becoming a greater possibility, in fact specie cross-breeding has been documented in Australia.....

I had him for 2 years. I noticed those markings 3 months ago from now.

More pictures...

Having had it for two years, it will have molted at least twice, so unless someone else may have seen this thread and have a different answer, I think you're going to just have to see if the discoloration stays as it is or if it goes further.

Sorry I can't offer a better answer.....
