Uneven Feather Growth?

I had Mr. Precious' wings clipped due to his airel attacks. His flight feathers are now growing in but unevenly. He has 4 new full grown feathers on his right side but only 1 on the left. I did find a feather on the bottom of the cage that had a tiny bit of blood on the end but I don't know what side it came from. Is it normal for feathers to grow back faster on one side than the other?

I've read it's not normal so that the bird is always able to fly in nature. But, Pete is doing the same. One of his wings is half grown back and the other has like 1 new feather. It's been 11 years on Rowdy so I can't remember anymore if she did that as well or not.
