Unbelievable - he misses TV !

Our flat screen went kaput Monday morning - DOA, not repairable. I can't get things together until Fri to get a replacement. Salty misses his TV! He is so used to it being on for a good part of the day ( Geri is a homemaker and has it on cooking shows most times). LOL, the silence is deafening. SO he sulks up near the ceiling on his play chain, and raises a ruckus if god forbid someone in another room has a TV on. Salty - a TV holic !

On the other hand, I let him watch some YouTube videos of other parrots, and did his usual introduction to them. "Are you a bird?", "Salty" and "Are you a pretty bird?".

My Sam used to laugh at Johnny Carson. I don't know if it was a reaction to the laugh track or real laughter. Salty sound like he is really a TV Bird! Perhaps you can make him a TV star!! LOL

And, since he is an Amazon, a radio will not fool him one bit.

An Amazon Curse on those mates in the other room with their TV's on! How dare they not bring him into view of the TV.
Prices are slamming on Flat Screens TV's of late. Must be a major change coming. Our local chain store has 65" screens on sale for under $500. Way too big for us, but when the big ones are this low, its a wow moment.

Shop your local stores online and lock something up for pick-up later this week.
If you have not purchased one in the last four years, you're going to be amazed at how simple to connect they have become! Even an old fart like me can do it right-off the instructions screen.
