I'm about to meet my little male Rainbow Lorikeet
My daughter is hand raising two scaley breasted lorikeets, they are now 8 weeks old. One is thriving and just started to take short flights. The other has gotten all his feathers, and eats well, but he hasn't yet found his voice and seems quite unstable. He is not climbing or standing well by himself. His feet are ok and I can't see any other problems. Has anyone experienced this before?

I would get him checked by an avian vet, ASAP, in case there's an underlying illness or infection that's causing him to be uncoordinated and generally fatigued. Birds, especially babies can go downhill really quickly once they're sick, so the sooner the better. Being unable to stand by themselves or perch isn't normal by any means.
