And thats what he did, he helped me cook his dinner. First time hes eaten veggies tonight by the way, and helped me do laundry, and helped me set up his playstand. Now hes busy exploring the new toys. Seems like hes a happy guy today.

Looking good! Seems it might just have taken him a while to start coming out of his shell. Don't be too disheartened if he's not like this tomorrow though, you've seen a nice side of him now so you know he's got it in him ;)

I second this point. We've had JJ about 2 weeks now and seems like somedays she is great than next day horrible, like yesterday and today she was an angel yesterday and today a screaming little devil lol. Don't take it personally though. Glad he was so good for you today and hope he keeps moving forward for you. Such a handsome boy too!

Beautiful Sun Conure!! He will be your best friend in no time. Like the others said, just go at his pace and he will let you know what he is ready for. But it is obvious that he will soon be your best friend. Sun's are really friendly and loving. At least mine sure is! She adjusted really quickly (much quicker than our Amazon and African Grey) They all have their adjusting period, but you have a friend for life after they have done it.

woo hoo!!! What a pretty boy! Congrats!!!

I'm glad things worked out! Sounded like he enjoys the ride... :)

Congratulations! Time, patience and baby steps...that's the secret I've discovered to training birds :)

You're on the right track, keep it up!

He's BEAUTIFUL, by the way. Gorgeous! We were looking for a Sun, but a yellowsided green cheek absolutely MADE us take him home. NO regrets...Franklin is amazing! :D
