So today I got Sammy out of his cage, and for whatever reason he chomped my finger pretty hard. He actually just seemed more antsy than normal. He's seemed more demanding and nippy over the past couple days, at random times he bites hard onto our finger when he's on or when we offer our finger. He just seems really antsy and undecided LOL. I think he's around the right age, he hatched sometime in March

I do not claim to be a expert of this species, that said, it just seems a bit early to be puberty.

This should get you bounced back-up on the board so that an expert can respond.

Yeah, I think you're right. He could just be having a bad day today, he screamed a lot more today than usual. Thanks for the input!!

I'd agree on it being a bit too early, maybe next october you'll see the teens appear

I suspect bratty bird syndrome A.K.A "Everything revolves around me, I'm so great, I do what I want"

Any change in schedule/routine or outside of cage time? Any change in food? Different nail polish? If not puberty then maybe a change he is not liking!

Oh, that sounds about right... school is getting a bit more intense so he doesn't get out as much as he did in the summer. He is probably definitely against that, lol

You're on another post about your dad won't listen, I was just responding to it. Is this all related to the noise issue too, or is this separate.

I think it could all be related, he simply wants more time out and he's being resentful. Also your family is over you said in the other post...he wants to be involved. And maybe he's just picking up on your tension. This may sound "new age-y" but try going to a quiet room with him and just relaxing. If he keeps attacking I understand that's impossible but birds pick up on the words we say, the way we say them, and they can read our mood. Try to relax yourself, the flock will follow...
