I am just trying to gather some ideas on the daily diet of your greys. My breeder feeds roudybush, but my local pet shops only carry zupreem brand and a couple other cheapo brands of pellets. I was thinking about going with zupreem fruit blend as the pellet base and of course plenty of fruits and veggies. I just worry how it will go switching her from roudybush to zupreem. The breeder will be supplying me with a few days of roudybush so I figure I would start mixing in the zupreem from day one and hopefully it will be a smooth transition. What do you guy feed your greys on a typical day?

Don't go with the fruit blend, the dies cause the poop to change colors so to can't tell if they are sick or not and the dies can also cause feather problems. Your best bet is to just order roudybush or Harrison's online. Zupreem also isn't all natural ingridients so I would never feed my fids that anyway.

I feed mine Harrisons, Tops or intune and he likes Higgins Mayan seed mix too .
Then he gets fresh fruits and veggies too as well. I think the Zupreem naturals would be alright if you wanted to go with the Zupreem brand.

I also like to give him some of the herb salad by Twin Beaks Aviary . It has lots of good stuff to help build their immune system.

Actually my local petsmart carries roudybush daily maintenence. Other brands they carry are of course many virieties of zupreem, avian entrees, and pretty bird. So I guess I do have access to roudybush after all. I must have missed it while at the store. Not familiar with the other three brands listed.

Yeah for some reason petsmart kind of hides the roudybush behind other pellets.
Harrison's is also a really good brand(roudybush and Harrison's are tied in my mind) but you can only get it at get offices or online.

I feed my CAG Harrison's High Potency Coarse pellets. Also fruits/veggies, cookables, birdie bread with a bit of aviglow spread on top, bountiful harvest, etc. I rotate different types of cookables, veggies, etc to keep things mixed up.

Wifey hasn't fixed me a regular breakfast since our kids got old enough to pour milk over cereal. She prepares a veritable banquet for the two birds every morning now, however. Pellets just aren't good enough for these two, I guess. Once in awhile she gives me leftovers of what she's fixed for them: eggs, toast, fruit, salad, sweet potato, etc.

Harrisons is the best for greys I think. It is the only 100 percent organic, natural with no artificial anything. Greys should be on Harrisons High potency for their calcium needs. Best price you will find is on mysafebirdstore.com. one of our sponsors.

Well since the breeder is using roudybush, I am going to stick with that. I appreciate everyones thoughts!!

Roudybush is ok but Harrison's is a lot better for them and it is very easy to switch a bird over to a different brand of pellets.
