I thought the game room would be a great place to start a new TWD thread!

I was not a fan until Season four when a few of my favorite mods forced me to watch under extreme duress! I was hooked halfway through Season one! I have never been an avid fan of any TV series until this one, and zombies of all things, I love it and I'm not afraid to admit it! Season six made me want to use a baseball bat on the TV screen several times but still I'm too fascinated to look away.

What kind of fans do we have here? Has anyone STARTED watching or STOPPED watching, watched from episode one? What do you think of the writer's going into Season 7, brilliant overachievers or arrogant embeciles? The cast? Favorites? Most loved characters, most despicable? Favorite deceased characters? Will you watch the season premier? What did you think of the ultimate cliffhanger? Personally, I hated it but I've heard other opinions.

I started watching and have been obsessed since Episode 1. I would have to say it is my favourite show ever.
However, I was infuriated at the season finale! I felt like they ruined an iconic moment form the comics for no reason. I vote arrogant imbeciles on that move.
I will be watching in Oct. though, how could I not? I am terrified it is Glenn, which will break my heart.
My favourites are Glenn, Maggie and Michonne. Most hated? Carol and now Morgan, but I am hoping he redeems himself.
My favourite deceased are Dale and Herschel for sure, but Beth comes in right behind them.
Why oh why did they have to make Negan look so good? I think he was fantastic and pulled off the menace perfectly.

Is it Oct. yet?

Glenn. Or Daryl. If they kill off anyone else, who cares.

And a baseball bat with barbwire?? What a terrible Zombie weapon.

Ok, I watch now because my BF watches but I have a hand covering my eyes for a lot of the show . He is a big fan of the series. The violence is a bit much with my PTSD sometimes (it can give me serious nightmares occasionally.) with that being said I do enjoy the plot and characters.

ROfL, Al! I guess I get attached more easily. But yeah, I would miss Glenn or Daryl a lot. I like Lucille but I wish he would limit it's use to zombies.

Have you seen, "RIDE with Norman Reedus"?

I'm sorry to hear about your PTSD. I can see how TWD could aggravate your symptoms. Plenty of blood, violence and graphics. It's sweet of you to watch with your BF, it's more fun to watch with a friend.

Favorites? Michonne and Daryl are my absolute favorites! But I'm also attached to most of the rest. I love the father/son dynamic between Rick and Karl, Glenn's heart, and Abraham's taste in women! (Rosita and Sasha? Talk about making the Apocalypse worth living! Whoo-hoo!)

I was a big fan of Morgan's, scruples and all, until he hid his part in everything that went down with that Wolf. You can have principles, and it takes strength to stand by them... but own it when you screw up, you know?

And who can match Carol for sheer shock value? Lol! Loved the dynamic between her and Morgan as well.

The only problem I had with the season finale is that they already played that particular card with the mid-season finale. You can't make people agonize over whether Glenn was dead or simply dumpster-diving for several months, and then pull the same cliffhanger stuff AGAIN a few episodes later. Not cool.

But yes, huge fan! Right up there with Game of Thrones, Daredevil (the Netflix series, not that awful movie), Mr. Robot and Person of Interest (R.I.P. Sniff!)

I liked it a lot initially. But it got stale, repetitive, and I just lost interest. I stopped watching when they killed Hershel, whatever season that was. (4?)

I watched the first episode and some more episodes, seasons throughout. Several episodes and even seasons I haven't even watched. I've liked the just-look-at-the-flowers and cookies Carol, and especially how she covered herself in blood to save the others. I don't particularly have a favorite character. I just have certain episodes and scenes. As for the gore, graphics and violence, when there's an animal involved in the show I look the other way!

Agree about Glenn and the cliffhanger. Especially the season finale. In a way I'm looking to see season 7.
