Hi, I was wondering what are some good fruits, veggies, nuts, or seeds I could give to my green cheeks? I already give them plain organic freeze dried apples, regular apples (they love apples), sunflower seeds, raw and cooked pasta, and carrots. Are these all safe foods? So if anyone can give me a brief list of things my conures will like, please do so. I'm sorta running out of ideas. Thanks!

If you can try to stay away from sunflower seeds and use nuts instead such as walnuts, pecans, pine nuts but never feed peanuts because they can carry botulism and are very fatty.

If your bird likes them dark leafy greens are fantastic(curly kale, spinach and broccoli) and full of healthy foods. A tiny bit of cooked salmon is alright, but not very much. acorn squash(cooked or raw) is also very good for them along with most other orange vegetables.

The conure I had loved to pick out the nut meat from an opened walnut. Nutriberries are always a favorite.

Thanks for the info guys!! Do u know where I can find pine seeds? Thanks!!!!:D

They sell pine nuts at the grocery store in the produce department usually. ;)

Thanks guys :) I'll definetely stop the sunflower seeds, probably get pine nuts. :)

Our birds really love unseasoned popcorn and pumpkin seeds. For the popcorn you can just buy popping corn, throw it in a brown paper bag and fold or tape the top down and pop it in the microwave for a minute or two.

Cool, thanks! I'll try the popcorn, and they love pumpkin seeds!

My CAG like asparagus

I don't have asparagus at the moment, but later I'll see if they'll eat some. Thank you. =)

You can also use safflower seeds my birds love them!

Oh yeah, I do have safflower seeds. Tey ike 'em ok, but its the apples they go after. ;)
