Parrots
Percy, a 5yo BFA & Jack, a 8yo Budgie
A piece of pine, holes drilled in with paddle bits and then sanded down. Stuffed the holes with nuts, parrot puffs and pumpkin seeds. I made holes on the end to thread rope through for tying onto the cage bars because master Percy can't bloody leave zip ties alone...:54:

You really do need to go into business selling these wonderful things you make...imagine all the birds you could make happy:)
Another wonderful creation!!

I'm going to steal you idea^^.
My green cheeks would love it.
Have you ever thought about using(well it's called arabische gom here i don't know how it is called in English.)
I'ts a kind of organic glue that comes from trees.
And it is 100%save for parrots,i use it to make treats stick to pine cones or in holes so it won't fall out easy.

I googled it and it is called Gum Arabic here :). Will do some research into it, thanks!

Almost the same, we call it gum arabic.

EDIT : oops, I was reading while Percy's mum was posting.

Great i couldn't find it in English.
But be sure to use 100% certify .
I'm lucky since our pet store sells it.
But it's really useful.

That's a nice foraging toy but it won't last long with my macaws as they'll have it destroyed less then an hour....lol.....

Awesome creation!!

Hi MomToPercy,

I'm also from SA...just wondering where did you find the untreated pine?

Thanks in advance :)
