I feel like I am posting like crazy (sorry) 
and I've owned birds in my past, parakeets, cockatiels, more parakeets and an Indian Ringneck but nothing has prepared me for a conure!
Banjo is molting and has a LOT of pin feathers so I know he's grumpy.
Here's the situation: he is stubborn, during the past 2 days we've had staff come into our apt to change out some filters, so I have put honey sticks to keep him occupied while I'm away and strangers are present. Now the trouble starts when we take the treat away. He gets MEAN, he bites, pretends to be nice and bites again. When he's being "nice" we reward him with Millet but once he finishes his piece he is likely to bite again. Just earlier though he sat on my chest and let me pet him for over an hour!
We feel like we are training to be nice! When he doesn't get his way he turns into a biting brat!
