I have a green cheek conure , her name is Jolene.
We will be traveling with our GCC, Jolene, through a few different states. I've read everywhere you should have papers for your bird. I don't have any papers. I've never had to take her to the vet, the people I bought her from didn't give me any paperwork either. I'm just wondering, if something happens (like getting pulled over for a tail light out or something) will the cops fine us or something?
I know it's a weird thing to ask, but I have no idea, kind of freaked out by it.
anything you know will help.
Thank you :rainbow1:

We have travelled for years with our birds, dogs and cats and usually keep health papers from the vet along. But honestly in thirty years no one has ever asked to see them! Our biggest worry was taking our Quaker through states where she was illegal, but again no one ever looked. Sunny, our very gregarious macaw actually talked a bored highway patrolman out of a speeding ticket. She was the best thing he had seen all day. After all how many times does an HP get flirted with by a Catalina Macaw out in the empty deserts of New Mexico?
