So after 3 long months of waiting, tomorrow I finally get to take my daughter home :)

I'm nervous though, which I hope is normal.

Should I stay in the apartment the rest of ge day tomorrow or do you think it will be ok if I have to leave for a couple of hours?

My boyfriend wants to watch Rio together, do you think Ava will be comfortable enough to be outside her cage tomorrow night?

so excited!!

Congrats.. The best thing is to play it by ear and see how she is ... I left Codie in her Cage for the first couple of Hours to let her get used to her surroundings, then I opened the Door and she came out herself and snuggled up to me :)

The bird will be fine, not sure about you, lol. Congrats. As soon as she ready for her photo op don't forget to let us see.

I think it might actually be better to leave her alone for a few hours otherwise she will get used to you spending so much time with her, then when you do end up leaving one day she will scream and won't understand why you left. It's better to just get them used to the normal routine right off the bat because if you don't you could end up with a screamer that plucks because she doesn't understand why you left.
Congrats, you must be so excited! Make sure you post loads of pics when you get her!

We interacted with all of ours immediately, actually every time we went to pick each one up the breeder pretty much shoved them into our arms to get started LOL. Of course only one was weaned when we got it, the rest we had to wean out. IMO the earlier you start the bonding process the better, I'd actually be leary of getting another bird that I didn't raise myself after raising 4 out of 5. But that's just me :)

Congrats!! I can only imagine how excited you are. I still have to wait another 2-3 months for my baby girl and I'm already ecstatic. Please do post some pics when you get her. I am new to greys, but I would say just let her go at her own pace. Don't try and rush her into anything she may not be ready for. I'm sure you will know or she will let you know how she is feeling. Best of luck to you!!!

Congrats... I can just imagine how you are feeling
Just take Baby steps.... try not to rush anything
Sure she will be okay when you are out, she has so much to do, exploring the cage, playing with the toys etc
How old is she now?
