As anyone come across a bird with a dodge toe, an does it effect the bird in anyway.
My 15 week old green wing as a dodge toe. On her left foot she as three toes going forward and only one back. I think the the toe on that foot should go back and forward but the joint as not formed properly.

I've herd this is a problem that smaller birds suffer with and it causes no problem for the bird.

Can anyone shed some light on this. She's a loverly bird.

Oh how sad, that poor little bird, but it's not the end of the world
One member who will be able to assist you is wildheart, her ringneck Sterretjie, has similar problems. Sterretjie manages fine, and has already once manged to hold a little branch with her claw, something she never did previously.
Pm wildheart, lots of your questions will be answered
Good luck

Baby will not suffer in anyway due to this toe. I have a friend who has a B&G and the baby has a deformed leg. The leg is completely turned backwards. The vet said breaking the leg could cause unnecessary pain and possible infection when healing. Well, that 16 week old B&G climbs all over the place! He runs, jumps, hops and is definitely not handicapped! Your baby will be fine.

Greycloud. That's awful I really hope that blue and gold is ok and loved. Thanks for the info.

My CAG, Ruby had constricted toes on both feet resulting in only have the 2 front facing toes on each foot. Since this happened so early in life, she doesn't know what it's like to have all of her toes. The only problem she has is landing on things that move...like the swing or merry-go-round (fka - the ceiling fan).

Your bird should be just fine.
