I have a 27 year old YNA and I have noticed from the day that I brought him home that the short toe on the left foot is not used like the other toes. When he steps up on my hand, the toe curls back a little bit. When he climbs around the cage this particular toe is not used at all. I am a bit concerned, but not overly anxious about it. This is the way he came to me and I know it's not broken because he can walk just fine and it look normal in every way.

Is there something I can or should be doing?

It is possible that it was broken in the past and simply fused up and healed like that from not seeing a vet and getting it set. Even though he moves around, it is still possible he is in pain. Animals are very stoic, its not uncommon for them to hide pain or just going on living with it for years. Parrots have quite a reputation for hiding anything wrong with them. I would personally suggest a vet visit just to make sure he isnt hurting and that the issue isnt ongoing.

My bird Ollie's toe is like that, it was like that since he was born, but It doesn't really bother him. The only problem with it is it sometimes gets stuck in the carpet when he's wondering around other then that I don't think he really notices it.

But I would also say get a vet visit to make sure there's not any problems
