This poor baby was exhausted it took quite a while to formula feed last night so I kept needing to reheat and temp formula. After about an hour and a half we were successful, s/he had a long crazy scary day yesterday for sure.

Learning to Handfeed (both the bird learning you and vice versa) can be very stressful. It took me the same amount of time with Scooter and he is now refusing all feedings after a week - he gets the same meals as my other Ekkie but then I make him a formula pudding mixed with baby food fruit purée and a few pellets and he goes NUTS for it.

Current situation: Perched atop the patio door blinds....Since I haven't had this baby sexed yet, I have no clue what to call it.....suggestions are much welcomed.

I agree! I have hand fed in the past when I had my baby Congo African Grays, but it is always different from one baby to another.

Congratulations on your new baby. Sorry he had a rough day of traveling.
