To get or not to get

i have a tamed, sweet, cuddly 7 mos old sun conure (unsure gender) that is well socialize to all members in our family but bonded to me and my daughter. my daughter wants to have another bird and i'm thinking of getting a crimson bellied conure. however, i have questions:

1. will the 2 conures bond to each other instead of bonding to us?

2. will they mate even if they are not the same subspecie of conure granted if one is male and the other is a female?

please help!

1. They could. They might bond with you guys and hate each other. They might bond with you guys but also bond with each other. Or they might bond with each other and hate you. Any possibility is a potential outcome.

2. I think this answers your question well enough, and that is with the assumption that you end up having birds of the opposite sex.
