Blue Quaker (Griffin)
So I'm starting this thread (Qupdate = Quaker Update) to keep track of my new buddies progress. I had an email from the breeder on Friday, saying that everyone who paid a deposit back in August (me included!) would be getting their birds soon. I should be getting him in about mid Dec (summer here in Australia). Here are some pics of the batch. Now I just need to decide on a name hehe.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Terry, I'll be getting pics from the breeder as they get older, so hoping I can post progressive pics as he gets closer to coming home to his new flock :)

Ok so I went to a pet store tonight and had a lovely chat with a green cheeked conure and a Lutino parakeet. Ended up buying some stuff for my Quaker, so I'll be more prepared when he comes home :)

Ok so it's 2:22am in Australia now, and I can't sleep! I went to bed early tonight, and woke up a little while ago to see a message from the breeder saying my bird is ready for pickup!!! Going to see if I can get time off work on Friday to go pick him up before the weekend. I didn't think I could get more excited, clearly I was wrong hehehe :D

We are excited for you too! Don't forget PICTURES!!

Now that you know that "he" is definitely a "he"...have you come up with a name for the little guy??

Hehe yes, there will be lots of pics Jim!! I haven't decided on a name yet, but I have narrowed down my list to seven names. When I pick him up, I'll see which one he seems to like the best and go with that :)

He is home!!!!! Took longer thank expected, an hour long trip turned into an hour and 45 minutes because the freeway was closed. He was sitting starting at me for about half an hour, then decided to have some lunch. He's still chomping away on pellets hehe. I reckon he'll be a Houdini though - I SWEAR he was trying to open the food sliding door!!!

Hes such a cute little thing! Man I hate that theyre so small because I wanna give em a big smothering hug :D

He's adorable! I love baby Quakers so much! My boy is almost a year old and I love him to pieces, and he's such a little comedian! He's been talking for quite awhile and is extremely intelligent, so you have a lot to look forward to. Congratulations! Lita and Bowie send their congrats as well!
