Hello again

3 month old Rose Breasted-how many hours can he be in his cage without it being a punishment or cruel? We'd like to take a 6-7 hour getaway for the day with our dogs, but don't want to create any issues for our new birdie.
We've had Echo just a week. When we let him out, it's for several hours during the day-perch time or like this morning...he walked the floor for about 30 minutes (doing summersaults too) YAY

Potentially my green cheek conure could be alone for 8 to 10 hours a day (normally once a week at worse, most the time it's less than that though). So I think your situation will be fine as long as you try and maybe have him out for a bit later or earlier in the day, maybe make an hour or 30min of time for him at least (if that's possible).
Hopefully someone else will chime in as I don't have a lot of experience to go by.
