Thumbs up to Phone books!

I posted a little while back about a shredding incident with Romeo. One of the suggestions was to try a phone book. Well I tried it and Romeo LOVES it, she shreds it like crazy. She doesn't play with it non stop but I catch her shredding the phone book a few times a day. I'm hopeful that this will distract her some from her feathers (not expecting this to fix it entirely but its a step). Even if it doesn't, it at least gives her something that she enjoys destroying. Now I feel like some weird scout, asking everyone I know for phone books, for fear that my stash wont last that long. It also seems that since introducing the phone book that this has encouraged her to play with some of her other toys as well.

i have come to the conclusion they like to shred things they see us using etc

nut likes to shred my mans appointment diary, when ever she gets the chance

I LOVE old phonebooks, they make fantastic cage liners for my smaller bird cages. And my Doki shreds them just like your baby does. ^.^

Yes, big thumbs up My Scarlet came to me with a leg plucking problem and I tried the phone book thing and its seems to be working. THANKS
