Thought I'd introduce myself!

Obviously I'm new to the forum

My name is Lauren and I am owned by two absolutely adorable lovebirds!

Skittles is the world's snuggliest and cutest lovebird! I'll be sure to bombard everyone with cuteness haha. She will be 16 this year and I've had her for almost 5 years now. I was living out in Victoria, BC (Canada) and I found her at a small bird store. The rest goes down in history, she came to live with me and we've been together ever since.

Marley is my newest addition and just turned a year old on December 31. She (well I THINK Mar is female haha) is a fisher's lovebird and the most flighty bird you'll ever meet. I'm still working on calming that aspect of her and we're making progress. But do I ever love her! She's just adorable!

I definitely look forward to "meeting" everyone and adding my knowledge of lovebirds where I can!

Chris, I LOVE your Ekkie! I had the pleasure of meeting a female one at my bird club on Monday. They are my dream birds and I was beyond giddy holding her.

welcome! your lovebirds are gorgeous! I think they are the cutest! I have one as well but she doesn't sound as sweet as yours. Mine is a little crazy and very bossy.

Cute Lovebirds you have there! I used to raise them long ago. A way to sex them is to place your index finger inbetween their pelvic bones, if it fits through, its a girl. It works for me everytime I had to sex my lovebirds. They're wonderful little birds but I can't have them with my flock cause the ones I had before will terrorize all the other birds.
