So yeah...a small glimpse into to what it's like having 2 Conures (for those that don't read our story thread). Rinse and repeat for 3 or so hours until I start dinner, I leave the house or they have a shower with me. It's a lot of work but mostly a lot of fun! Questions welcome.

Oh, no! I'm trying really, really hard not to have a favorite, but...

No, I won't say it.

Yes, I will.

No, I won't!

Okay, I will.

Finley playing absolutely steals my heart!

Sorry, not sorry!

Love these stretches Finley is doing in front of the cam - Cytrynka does the same, these always makes me smile :) How they can keep the balance :06: After stretching, she often "shuffles" her feathers which makes funny noise love that also :orange:

They are both just so adorable!! I have one sun who is just a snuggler that sticks to me like glue, and my other sun and gcc are more independent and do more playing :)

I'm just going to say it Gail. Finley reminds me of RB a lot! He's a moody, unpredictable, feisty little guy who has not learned his manors like Ollie has and I'm learning I have to give up my idea of "the perfect bird" when it comes to him. Reprimanding him does not work at all it just makes him much worse even if it's a simple as setting him down after he bites, he could care less lol. He is also very very hormonal and at a very early age unlike Ollie who is much older.Lucky for me I potty trained him before he got an attitude so that's at least something. He's loving and playful one second but upset and aggressive the next but I think that's just him! I love him any how and he has his cute moments too.

EEEEEEEK!
Well, there ya go!
No wonder I'm attracted to him.
It really does kinda add up for me.

Well, Finley, your Uncle Rickeybird says hiya!

@Gail That's nice of Ricky Bird to gives his full support lol. Finley is definitely a "special" case. If he was my 1st bird I'm not sure if I'd have a 2nd one because he is difficult but very needy at the same time. He'll fly to me from his tree but I'll pick him up after he begged me to and then he'll suddenly fan his tail and pin his eyes and bite me. He sometimes wants to cuddle which is cute and fun but either way he NEEDS constant attention. Poor Ollie definitely gets the short end of the stick a lot more than I'd like to admit. Luckily I've realized this early and put Finley to bed and hour before Ollie some gets a whole hour of Mommy time. I do my very very best to wake up each new day with Finley band treat him with the love and kindness that he and all feathered companions deserve even if he will possibly never stop these behaviors or continue to have really bad days and bad days and some good days and a sprinkle of great days. He's my baby and I love him! I'm sure you feel the same way Gail in fact I know you do. Not every bird is an easy bird because well...just because...no reason...and that's okay.

So true, Desi. And we need to tell our stories in order to support others with difficult birds. Some birds are just SPECIAL (hello, Finley), and maybe they need even more love and help than the sweethearts of the world (hello, Ollie), although I really like your idea about creating special time for Ollie, apart from the Genghis Conure Finley!

That's what my vet calls the Rb... Genghis Conure, but I think Finley deserves it, too!

You guys are GREAT and amazing. It’s so wonderful to watch you be the example of one-home birds, no matter what. [emoji170]

Thanks Inger. Let me tell you this is in no way easy. It's very very not easy in fact. I have taken Fin to the vet a lot and she thinks he might actually not be quite right mentally or in some kind of chronic pain that is not able to be identified She thinks that it would be very strange for him to behave like this since Ollie and him have the same home, diet, treatment, and attention ect if there weren't some other issue driving the behavior. Finley sometimes will act like I'm trustworthy and he can't get enough of me and will go on his back and do things only a bonded trusting bird would do. And in the same day can turn around and act incredibly scared of me like I'm evil and bites durring every interaction and behaves like an abused bird but has never been abused (in my care). I'm sure he would have been rehomed a couple times by now if someone else had bought him. I just can't do that to him even though it's a daily struggle. I appreciate you're support Inger and Gail!
