This is so cute

That's fun.

Thank God Sweepea never learned to turn the sink on, or I could come home to find it's been running all day, and get a $600 water bill...

What Sweepea does is wait for YOU to turn it on, then flies to the sink, hops in, and flops around.

I know there are macaws out there that do not care for water, but I haven't ever owned any...

BB got his first real soaking Saturday. I have never heard him talk so much . Yell and clicking . He would not fluff up but did turn so I could get him all over. He also thought it was funny to shake and wet me. I purchased one of those small pump type sprayers. That did the trick . No sound just a fine mist falling

I have one of those giant rainfall showerheads...

Maggie gets in, and I have to drag her out. She's funniest when wet.

I soak all of mine weekly. Daily misting, sometimes daily soakings when they're going through hard molts.

Sweepea likes playing in the sink, so any time you're doing dishes, or washing your hands you have to be aware that you may have a visitor. She gets herself soaked a couple of times a week...

Mine hates the water. Screams and runs away. If you take her to the shower she bites you. :(

Maggie dances in the shower. Refuses to get out until she has absorbed at least three times her body weight in water. The entire bathroom gets soaked when she does her "happy flappy" dance routine.

I want to experience that so badly. Maybe the new severe I'm getting will like showers. The too runs away from the mister also. The Zon lets me soak him.

The only bird I have that doesn't like water is TUSK, my CAG.

HATES IT! STILL ACTS AS IF YOU INTEND TO DROWN HIM...

He's learned to put up with it, but that's about all I can ever expect from him.

My two macs are the Anti-Tusk. They'd be playing in the water all the time if they could...

My amazons have to be in the mood for it, but when they are, they are also happy flappy's...

And of course, any time you turn on the vacuum cleaner, Lila hops chest first into her water bowl. She's "one of those."

Sometimes the vacuum works but most of the time they just sit and stare at me.

BB would run at the site of a spray bottle. I am told they used it to get him quiet. Sad. I want to do the same to them
Petsmart is the only place I have found this sprayer I use now. It pumps up pressure and sprays. Like a garden sprayer. Holds about a quart of water. Trust me BB would stay dirty if it were up to him. I talk and laugh and spray it up over top of his head so it falls down in a light shower. It is getting better every time. My hose has a mister attachment. On hot days I just mist them in the tree...

And that is exactly why you don't spray them to get them to be quiet...

Of course, mine would only enjoy it and get LOUDER...

My macs, and one of my zons get LOUD in the shower.

Ya I can't imagine getting mad enough at him to just spray water on him. Funny but if you really listen to a adopted Fid you can tell what was going on. He will Flock call and then yell SHUT THE (&) UP . . He has just about stopped doing that because my reply to him is in a soft voice. But BB you are the only one talking. The reply from him is HAHAHAHA

My Alex was also sprayed to make him be quiet, but he has finally learned to enjoy it after a year, and after he watches the other birds enjoying it. He now runs over so I can mist him, while he says Hello and Pretty Pretty Bird:)
I so love that video of the Hy:)

That is what BB is saying now.

LOL!!! No I want the water on full blast!!! That was an awesome video. Buddy dry showered today ( went int the bathroom, heard the fan, showers with no water, fluffs, wings out, shakes imaginary water off), Venus, she goes in Buddy's cage and uses Buddy's water bowl as a bath, lol.
