Well I fell a little bit in love with a gorgeous macaw while on vacation with my kids (I posted about it in the macaw funny stories thread) and I've been considering and talking with the hubby, and I'm thinking we will add a macaw to our flock sometime next year.

I'm torn between a Blue and Gold or a Greenwing at present (and Harlequins are crazy cute, but I'm not really the hugest fan of hybridizing), though I figure I have plenty of time to decide.

Anyways -- I know the internet is really just about the best source of information you can get your hands on, but I am a bit of a bibliophile and you just can't beat the feeling of holding a real book! So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for their particular favourite books -- either macaw in general, or species specific to Blue and Gold or Greenwings.

I've heard that "The Large Macaws" is a fantastic book, but I'm not ready to drop $500 on it :p
