The budgies finally recalled to me 25 feet away! And they had to descend about 10ft too! I'm so proud of them, this is their record as a flock! And they did it multiple times too!!! They gained some serious momentum.
I'm so happy. They were all clipped, and had to overcome the mental barrier of "I can't fly *this distance* because I'll fall" or just lacking motivation. But they did it!!! I've never been more proud, for the first time in a while it felt like they were just being birds, doing what they were supposed to do... but in a calm situation. They only times they've flown that much in the past is when they got scared. But this was almost joyful, they wanted to do it again and again!
