Just finished a shopping spree at Dollar Tree and got lots of fun stuff to be destroyed lol! I got some ideas after watching Max the Cockatoo on YouTube. And I finally found alphabet blocks so I bought several boxes. Now to assemble!

May our Parrot's enjoy our Loving efforts of their 'staff. The Love and Joy they bring us is worth every bit of effort, well most of the time! :D

Yo!

Probably my most eccentric past-time is frequenting our local hardware store and browsing the PVC department. The guys who work there seem convinced I'm doing mysterious, intricate, bizarre plumbing projects. They watch me and scratch their chins as I make my selections. I ham it up, too, pretending to measure, inspect, compare. They ask me stuff, but I'm the Greta Garbo (mysterious 1930s film star who shunned inquiries from press and fans)... of PVC!

In my house tv time is parrot time. If I don't have a macaw lounging on me, i am making parrot toys. I feel I have become quite good at making stuff, that's free out of stuff that's in the house.

Both Tinos and Trudis favorite toy at the moment is 2 bags from noodles cut into fringes and tied by an old T-shirt cut into strips, sort if like a miniature pom-pom as one side is coloured and the other is silver. I guess you could use crisps bags as well, if you clean the salt of the inside.

Sugars favorite has always been packages of any kind, but he wants food inside or he doesn't care for it.

Okay, so flapper dress too? NO, prior Decade! Oh well. For certain, the Senior Staff had something to discuss regarding your bizarre project(s), the younger staff just return to their Ipads. Hardware Stores are the best place to find DIY Parrot projects. Our last home was a short 109 yrs old and the combination of House Projects and Parrot Projects always had the Senior Staff meeting me at the door, ready for that day's project. The young staff avoided eye contact! :D

Oh Sailboat and then theres the fact that Im a retired hardware wholesaler, i dealt with these guys professionally. Now the guys stare at me in confusion as the wife inquires about stainless steel washers and chains, obscure pvc shapes, on and on. I just look out the windows and see shapes in clouds, oh look theres a rickeybird eating a horse etc etc etc.

That again is why the Local Hardware Store is so Great! There got windows for just at reason! Mrs's Question: Well we will need to hang if from the ceiling right! Oh Look at that, it looks like a Wall Cloud in the Western Sky.

Sboat you feel my pain(pleasure?)! :47:

Just the shared JOY for Windows, my friend! And, once again, the only staff at the Hardware store that gets the hint is the Senior Staff!

Once again, Sorry for the trip off into Humor Land! But, like the Thread's Title: "The Things We Do for Our Birds" So, its all fits! :D

'"Rickybird eating a horse"....thanks Rival, I just decorated the kitchen wall with ravioli. Never read the Forum posts while eating.

Got home after having dinner with my parents and he massacred his toilet paper treat roll. I stuff it shred and nuts and tie it in his cage all that's left is string. His new cooking utensils have been investigated. When I showed him the utensils and hung them he couldn't make up his mind if he wanted to growl in fear or check them out. He checked them out lol. I have some paper Pom poms I'm working on.
