I missed this before too! Funny stuff...

Some of those steps are optional though, depending on species, like dusting the house with flower. That's only something you do if you intend to bring home a Too or a CAG.

"Take a big bite of carrot. Chew it up well, but don’t swallow it. Now go out to your dining room and spew it all over the wall. Leave it there until it dries. Get a sponge and a scraper and scrape it off the wall. Repeat at least three times a week." (True! But that still doesn't prepare you for trying to get flung dried banana off drywall.)
