The morning after

Not THAT kind of morning after I was taking out the trash last night and totally ate it on the concrete steps (which were wet from the rain). I have walked up and down these steps 1000s of times and never slipped. I have no idea what happened this time, but I fell really hard and bounced. Last night I kind of got up cleaned up the scrapes and shook it off. I thought I had just banged up my knee and hands mostly. I feel as though I was hit by a bus this morning and have big, horrible purple bruises all over my arms and legs and my shoulder (which didn't even hurt last night really) feels as though someone took a hammer to it. Ugh Even Kiwi senses something is off and was licking the bruise on my knee this morning He's such a sweet little guy, he wants to help (just so long as he doesn't decide to bother the nasty scrapes on my fingers)

Oh, new additions of the non-avian variety, likely arriving this summer I was not aware their, er, home would need as much as it does so it's taking me a while to set up properly. I am very excited because they are very cute little ____________

and sorry to say - yep - the older we get the harder we fall.

My shoulder is still quite sore and not wanting to move as easily as it should, though my knee feels better. I think all the bruises surfaced yesterday and turned a fantastic shade of PF sad face purple, which against my paper white skin is just lovely (not). I look all mangled up right in time for shorts weather. Joy!
