Hey everybody! I'd like to introduce myself...
I'm from Oklahoma, and I live in a house with 6 birds! I have two, and the rest is someone elses in my family.
I have a Triton Cockatoo, and a Cockatiel,
I believe my Cockatiel is a male, since I heard female Cockatiels won't whistle very much and mine mimics my kisses, and the wolf call whistle, while other random whistles all the time! He's like an alarm clock, around 10 AM each morning, he starts whistling and screaming like a mad-man gone wild! It's frustrating when I'm trying to sleep in (LOL), his name is Zoe (Zoey). He's just a baby! Maybe...a year old.
My Triton Cockatoo has the band thing on it's left foot; I was told this bird was thought to be a female from it's previous owners, but it's eyes are a dark, dark brown around the black in it's eyes which...in most cases means it's a male. Oz is 8-10 years old, and he's just a cuddle bear! When I'm sitting on the couch, he tries to squeeze his body inbetween me and the side of the couch and he always make a tiny clicking noise.
Sometimes, I give him kisses, and he puts his tongue up to my lips, I guess that's how he kisses me...licking. I can beatbox to him and he'll raise his umbrella and dance to the beat.
Also, sometimes, when I hide from him, maybe just under my blankets and he's on the bed looking for me, he'll make a, "hai dare..." sound in softly, it sounds like hi there. I'll say it back, and he'll say it again. It makes me laugh! It's too cute!
Sometimes, he says, "whats up?" and he'll laugh if he hears others laughing!
Last night, when he couldn't tell where my face was because it was too dark in my room, he was saying, "hello?" "hi!" and I would say hello and hi back, and finally he found my face.
When he goes into his cage, sometimes he'll start screaming, and I'll cover him up, each time he does. About 20 minutes afterwards, if no more screaming is heard, I'll lift up the blanket, and take him out for not screaming.
He's quite the show off and sweet boy... Thanks for reading, here he is...,
I'll post more pics of him!
