The lone present under the tree this year, can you guess who it's for?

It's been a rough year this year, so we aren't doing gifts as there are simply other priorities right now. I wasn't going to buy Kiwi anything either (make a few toys out of the truckload of parts we have, yes, but not buy anything new). Still, when I was running errands, there was this toy misplaced by the checkouts, like a beacon of "the bird will loose his poop;) over this one". Normally, I wouldn't buy a new baby toy nor pay more than 50 cents for a used one, but this toy is so "Kiwi", I just couldn't pass it up! There are beads and things that spin and bright colors. I'm going to have to put it in a bag to hide it, because I already saw him eyeing it:eek: (he has a general idea of what kind of things are "his" and what aren't and I don't want him tempted to go near the tree:rolleyes:). I'm so excited though to see how excited he will be Christmas day with his new toy:D!

I know he'll love this one! I don't often find toys he'll go nuts over, so I'm really excited about seeing his reaction when he sees it. He is super adorable when he gets a new toy he *really* likes. He makes all these hilarious noises and does a big flashy amazon display with pinning eyes and flared tail (in an excited way) as he checks it out. He plays with just about anything that enters his "domain" but unless it involves a treat to be foraged, he goes for baby rattle type toys over anything else. This is like a giant rattle.

As a side note, I feel like an insane person being extremely excited about getting my parrot a baby toy for Christmas:34: I also hope I am not the only one who would get excited about this...:02:

Oh trust me, we all understand that feeling! He's gonna love it--you're an awesome parront!

You ARE an awesome parront... and your darling is an awesome and deserving parrot.

The Rb DESERVES coal lumps but will GET his usual euphoria-eliciting happy-hysteriaphying pile of 6-8 green chiles. Vids to follow, hopefully.

Not sure whether I'll do pics or video, but I will document the joy:D Unfortunately, my good camera (while it does take video) I can never seem to get them to upload. My phone has video, but it seems to use 1990's technology and is always weird and grainy:(

There must be video documentation! I want want want to see.

Can we get a video of kiwi opening the toy, too? I love to see a happy zon.

Our snobby DYH Amazon has no want for educational toys! If he cannot turn it into tiny pieces he has no use for it! Well, short of watching if fall from on high!

Enjoy Kiwi!
