Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
:eek:..I took Amy out for a ride,we stopped at Verizon to get my new phone activated..she talked to the guy who was assisting me ( He has a Triton 'too) and was having a grand time. We then stopped at her favorite place,ALLPETS,and saw the Rosey 'Too..a couple Sun Conures ( one sat on my shoulder and Amy preened his head :p) a SLEW of English Budgies..a rose something-or-other budgie, and her favorites, the green armed bee bee's ;) ( the guy said those two "free" 'tiels found a home about an hour after I left the other day).
I have pics on my new phone of what we saw today, now if I can only figure out how to either send them to my desk top,or post directly from the phone .
Seems like when I have Amy with me,I SPEND lots of cash! $67 today! A bag of a "good" seed mix "sunseed parrot" $`18.99...a toy..$18.99..crunch honey stix ( she loves 'em) $5.99 a small pack "nutra meal" type food/treat..one for her and one for Beebs.. $2.99x2..."Goldenfeast Madigascar Delight" seed treat mix $16.99 and Avi-Cakes $10.99 ( never tried those)..total...$67.38

Then we did a quick stop at the donut factory, then went home.
She rode on my shoulder all the way, I was wearing a kind of heavy Harley-Davidson hoodie, so she had something to sink her toe nails into to hold on,instead of trying to grasp the leather headrest in my car.

So we got home, and I grabbed the bags of goodies, her stuff,my phone crap, and a small grocery bag,and I got out of the car and went into the kitchen. I was talking to her as I was putting the stuff away, and reached behind me to get her..AND SHE WAS GONE!!!!   My intial thought was DID SHE FLY OFF????? no no no, she can't,she is clipped, just had it done! I would have felt her go flapflapflap anyway!! Did she jump off and is walking around in the driveway?? I ran out calling AMY!!?? AMY!!!??? no answer! Did she jump off and walk into the living room??? AMY??? AMYYYYYY??/ I called and called! No ANSWER!!
I went back to the car! AMY???? OMG!!! WHERE ARE YOU??? I was truly starting to PANICK!!
Then I heard "huh??...huh??" As I was getting out of the car,she reached over and climbed onto the driver side headrest!!! I literally began to cry!
I picked her right off the headrest and she let me hold her and kiss her head and back! I have NEVER been so frightened in all my life!

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and...

WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madness! Jim, I'm so glad that everything turned out okay. That really was a fright! Tell Amy not to mess with you like that again! For shame!

Well, I was guessing Amy was in the hoodie! A hoodie was the favorite place our LCA. Anytime either of us had on a hoodie. You name the style of whatever it was attached too. She was in there moments after climbing on board.

So happy for the good ending, but the heart sink must have been huge!

Jesus Jim , you even scared me! I've been thru that scenario, it's something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Jim, you have got to get Amy harness trained, with amount of out of house time you and Amy have. It will be worth every chunk of meat she takes out, but you will never have to go thru one of the worst things a bird owner can experience.

Amy.... bad girl!!!
