The cutest thing ever...

My boys did the cutest thing today, wish I caught it on tape.

They were sitting on their perch, just preening. After awhile, they started cuddling! It was so adorable, they were rubbing their napes against one another and preening. They've done this before, but never this long. They closed their eyes the whole time, and puffed out their cheek feathers.

Also, Pineapple fell asleep under a blanket today.

Has anyone else's birds done anything similar to this?

Auggie used to cuddle like that with his sun conure roommate when he was very young.... until of course the sun conure got in his sun conure mood and grabbed Auggie's ankle and flipped him off the perch just for fun.

Dusty likes to burrow and fall asleep. If I am wearing a hoodie he will climb into the hoodie and sleep there on my shoulder, or if i am sitting under a blanket on the couch and I am holding him he will often climb under the blanket.

He also likes to preen my hair. He will climb onto my head and start playing with my hair.
He also cuddles against my cheek when i have him on my shoulder.
He will also spend a lot of time on my German Shepherds back. He absolutely my GSD. Its a different bond that they have but it is cute.

Wow, those guys are so aggressive sometimes. I almost bought one for myself, but I'm afraid of that sharp bill that they have.

I often watch pigeons outside my office window, preening each other.
It looks so cute and lovable

My Dad think of pigeons as most city-dwellers do, winged rats. I think of them more positively, like how they love one another, make such sweet sounds, and how beautiful they are. Even though they make a mess out of my yard, I love them anyway.

I believe if you change your outlook on things, you will live a very happy life.
