Parrots
Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
Now, remember, Tusk is a SILVER GRAY... He was 560 grams before losing a couple of hundred over his 8 day crash diet...

Which one is Tusk?

Yeah... exactly!

The three amigos are still very clingy. In fact, tonight I set the new bird down and she flew back to my shoulder like a rocket... THAT BIRD IS FAST! Racing pigeon fast! He's an amazing flyer!

Pictures Please [and whats her name?] :)

(Posting these pictures for Mark :) )

They are so cute! And oh my gosh, how are you going to tell them apart?

What sweethearts!!

I can pick out Lila (she's in the middle). Does that count lol:D?

Just a shot in the dark, but I'm going to say Tusk is the one on your shoulder. What a trio of beautiful birds though!

On Sunday you could see that bird's KEEL! I think he's amazingly healthy now... Full of energy. Flying around the house...

Their personalities are dramatically different. And TUSK is just always gonna be TUSK...

Precious. So nice to see Tusk with you again :). Didn't the new bird tell you he's a "he"?

Lila looks tiny!

No more responses to the ads?

I think he looks good :) His beak is so shiny! That's the only difference I can see between the two o.o

TUSK displacement bites. He's never allowed on a shoulder...

This bird is bite pressure trained. He's also quite affectionate. He also flies to my shoulder when I set him down. He's been very well trained.

I KNOW HE HAS A HOME...

It's amazing to me how well they've both bounced back considering how much weight they lost. A few extra bowls of food, and a few days rest, and physically it's almost like it never happened...

Mentally? They're both still pretty shaken up still, and clingy...

He looks young in the pictures (the extra bird you got.... :)).
Also, could it be that he is from a far away places if he is such a good flyer?
All 3 birds look wonderful.

Anything is possible. Not probable.

He seems fairly young to me too. Less than ten.

Does anyone remember Tui, the CAG that used to be seen often on YouTube? His owner was teaching him to free-fly and Tui was caught on a gust of wind and never seen again. The poor bloke was devastated and people posted about it on YouTube for weeks afterward. I often wonder what ever became of Tui - he was an extremely intelligent and highly trained bird. Surely someone found him... :(

Very lucky parrots, to have such a good dad. At least your new fid found you. Everything happens for a reason, I still think this is why Tusk left in the first place, so you could save another babies life.
You all are blessed!

Such beautiful birds! When I saw you kissing Tusk, I guessed it was him! They all look so pleased to be with you and with each other. I can just imagine how clingy they would be after that scare. Warm, safe home, plenty of food and water, friends... they know they've got it good being in your arms.

I'm going to bump this up for you. Here's a picture of the bird we found... taken shortly after they came home, for those of you who missed it the first time around.

Looking back, it was kind of amazing how it all worked out...
