I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to everyone here.
Since I joined Stephen (conure) has come a LONG way.
In just a few weeks we went from a bird that bit and drew blood multiple times a day and screamed all the time to a bird that now only bites occasionally.
He fell into my care kind of suddenly and I had little idea how to handle him. With your guidance I figured out how to communicate with him. Instead of being mad when he does bite, I now think about what I was doing and what he's trying to tell me.
He's happier, I'm happier, we're bonding and working on potty training, he's growing more confident in the house and exploring and I'm more confident with him.
So thanks for all the help and great advice.
I'll keep posting his progress!
