Hi there~!
I got a military macaw on march 18th and.. I think she might be territorial of her cage? Or just really, really, really attached to it? I don't know if macaws get that way, but..
In the morning, she steps up onto my arm and I pull her out of her cage and we play. Everything is fine, I can take her outside or let her sit on the window sill or she'll get up on my arm and dance.. until, if I need to get something done around the house, I let her get up to play on her cage - and she'll refuse to come down again.
She doesn't bite, but she repeatedly backs away from me until I turn my back on her and walk away. (lather, rinse, repeat until she finally steps up..)
Is there anything I can or should do, different than I already am?
Another thing she does (and she only does this to my uncle, not me) is scream when my uncle is on the phone. She only does this when I'm not in the house, so.. what can I tell my uncle to do?
Thanks in advance~
