He's getting more yellow! Alexandrine mutations are supposedly pretty rare...anyone else see one like this?

Tango is very cute! :D I would love to see more pictures of him :D

Has he always had yellow feathers? I know some odd feather colouring can be health related. I am no expert so I may be wrong :p
I do hope it's just a mutation :D

Wow he is beautiful. That's one special bird u have there. I hope it is.a mutation and not as ash suggested. and agree wurh ash, mire pics of urn little buddy

Tango is such a cutie!!! I have never seen an alex with yollow feathers, not including the lutino alexandrines. Do you know if he was crossed with a lutino? As Ash has said, weird colouring can be a sign of illness.

He started getting these feathers around 6 months old. before that he was all green like a standard alexandrine, he's about 15 months old now.

I wouldn't think it's a health thing, he eats a good mixed diet of fresh veggies and pellets and the yellow feathers consistently grow back yellow after molting.

I wish he wouldn't always chew off his tail feathers though, although it probably makes it easier for him to fly inside my apt.

Thanks! tango's a great little guy. good talker too, started talking around 6 months. I'm a big fan of your guys birds too. If you haven't seen it check out my other thread "Tango Meets African Grey", thats my favorite pic of the lil featherhead.
