Very sweet! Glad to see the snow still melts for at least a few weeks out of the year! Must be global warming!

Jasper's looking really good, Katie! Thank you for sharing that video. He's grown so much since the last one!

He's a happy boy! Thanks for sharing the video, it's good to see Jasper looking so good again.

Cheers,

Camo

Katie it is VERY nice to see Jasper looking so much better. There are still lots of dark stress bars to his feathers but hopefully these will moult out soon and be replaced with healthy vibrant green ones.:)

Is that what they are??

When I first took him in back in May the vet noted about 20% of his feathers had the black tips and said it was probably poor diet (even though I make all his food and he has a good variety).

He's been moulting for MONTHS but is in another break right now. I hope the rest fall out and get replaced soon.

I started adding 1 pellet ball of LaFeber's (I forget which one right now) to his "snacky time" at night and after 2 weeks bumped it up to 2 pellet balls. He is perfectly fine on them, not a single episode of toe tapping. Hopefully he'll get other nutrients this way as well.

I love the idea of giving Jasper fresh air on the patio! I've been thinking of getting a smaller cage to do the same. How long does he stay out? I almost had an aviary built but it seemed too large and too distant out in the yard. He's so family oriented....:rainbow1:

Usually depends on him! Sometimes he likes to be out 20 minutes other times we've spent a couple hours out there. I can tell from his body language when he's ready to go back inside.

I always ask if he wants to go out, like in the video, so he decides if that's what he wants :D He learned VERY quickly what it meant!

I'm glad I kept this cage for him, it was his temporary cage when I first got him. I also use it for short trips and he loves it. Perfect size for outside and easy to carry in/out :)
