Hello,

Its a weird question but im not sure of the answer..

can parrots mimic accents?

like does a parrot from australia sound different when he mimics clearly 'hello' or 'how are you' than a parrot from england sounds?

All the parrots i watch on youtube sound the same but alot of them are from america !

I have seen several videos of parrots speaking with accents on YouTube. I love hearing them!

A good talking parrot like the amazon or African grey has the ability to mimic human speech from spanish to the Japanese language it all depends where the bird lives

Today Greybeard was calling, "Ronna" from the next room, and she was saying, "What do you want?" thinking it was me calling her. He then said, "What?"

I'm his rival for her affection, so he speaks in my exact voice. He seems to pick up words only from me, including ditties I've taught him, and my side of phone calls.

Yes! I was just watching a Congo grey video with Sybil and she spoke in a delightful British accent. You can totally tell when you listen to many greys talk if their main caretaker is a man or woman too.

Yes, most tend to talk in the same accent as their Owner!! Codie has a very clear, British accent!

They can also learn to speak in multiple languages.

It's the sound they are reproducing, so they will copy what they hear as closely as they can. While some are really extremely good about using the sounds in a context, so it seems as if they are truly using language, I don't believe it's quite like that.

It then follows that they can learn as many "languages" as they can words/phrases. Scotty has "Hey bird!" in several different voices, for example.
