Can anyone help me? I have an albino IRN named Ria (female, hatched May of 2018). Her tail feathers were long and beautiful up until about November. She flew off my shoulder and landed like a brick. I noticed that her main tail feather was bleeding, which ultimately resulted in having to be pulled. Over a short period of time, her other supporting tail feathers (all blood feathers) broke and needed to be pulled. Now, when out of her cage, she is either in my arms or on top of her cage. She has not fallen in weeks, yet she continues to break her tail feathers. I'm at a loss. Her diet is excellent (fresh bean mix, veggies, nuts, seeds, etc.). Does anyone have any experience with this or know of what I can do to protect her tail feathers so that they can grow in full and strong?
Thank you so much!
Eileen
