A TAG is looking to be more and more like my next bird. I'm contacting a breeder and asked some questions. As a result, I was wondering what sized toys, perches, and other fun stuff I consider for a larger bird. Most of my stuff is for smaller birds, like cockatiels and my Pionus...

You'll go up one size in bird toys, ones for Amazons, Ekkies and mini-macs will be the right size for a Grey. I'd get one each of a few different types and let him show you what kind he likes best. Salty likes ones with wicker on them, that and small bits of colored wood. And his tubular bell, God how he loves that bell! When he is not beating up on it, he is using the edge to scratch himself. Grey feet are substantially larger then budgies and conures so some pretty thick perches are in order , with a few in the 1-1/2-2" range, at least in spots. Sturdy stainless steel food and water bowls, locking of course, are likely needed too. I like 6" diameter ones.

My TAG loved leather tied in knots, he would untie them all and I would retie them. Shred cardboard, wasn’t really into wood destruction. He was scared of new toys, had to leave them in his vicinity for about a week before getting close to cage, and didn’t like the large toys, was intimidated by toys same size as for my DYA. Preferred smaller toys, but they all are different. He was the sweetest fid, miss him every day, fly high Timon
