Switching Pellet Brands

So as I have posted before, I plan to switch River from Pretty Bird Natural Gold pellets to a mix of Harrisons and Roudybush. I emailed both companies and they sent me samples to try out before I order. I let him taste both from my hand, and then today I put mostly the pretty bird in his bowl, but mixed in some Harrisons and some Roudybush. I got home from work and checked his bowl and the bottom of his cage. It looks like it's gonna be easy to make the switch! He picked out and ate every piece of both the harrisons and the roudybush, and left behind the pretty bird. I even found some of the pretty bird thrown out of his dish onto the floor! I know now that I can go ahead and order a bag of both and he will eat them. I will of course gradually switch it over the course of a few days. (assuming he will even bother to eat the pretty bird now! lol)

You are very lucky this happened. Many birds as you know just refuse pellets. River is such a good boy.

I know that mine eat a mixture of seed , zupreme fruit pellet and zupreem avian goodness the natural kind with dried carrot and apple mixed in , They love it that way . That is the only way I can get them to eat pellet .

Thank you! I was happy and completely surprised that he took to the new pellets so easily! Maybe he just has expensive taste! lol.
