Such A Sweet Chicken

I'm working on trying to get my kitchen cleaned up, so I can make it dirty again. I'm going to tear apart cages today for a complete wash down. Especially the chicken's cage, I need to rearrange that too. When I did it last, I was not as smart about perch placement as I should have been, if you get my drift.

Anyway, since I am in the kitchen, the pretty chicken is talking up a storm. It's also storming outside, which means our one dog is being the chicken now. I tried to get a picture, but of course, get the camera and he moves. He was trying to hide from the thunder half under the pretty chicken's cage. I was watching her, because she was really watching him, and then she started saying, "it's okay, chicken, kiss kiss, it's okay." She can be so sweet when she wants to be...

It will be another half-hour before the storms show-up here, but already along the shoreline. Our Amazon hasn't gotten up-set with the thunder or lighting with the exceptions of the really close ones that shake the home. That gets him really wide-eyed!

That is just so perfect...wonderful how she picked up on the dogs fear and responded just so perfectly ...not every Pretty Chicken has a doggie in her flock that she has to protect Hope the storms passed without incident
