Strange ‘Walking on cage floor’ Behaviour.

For some reason my budgies have been walking and standing on the floor unfluffed. They have been doing this for most of the day and the only times they come up on the perches is when I come to them, Sky jumps on the cage bars like she wants the come out which is weird because my budgies don’t like going out the cage. Sunny, my male budgie just stands on the floor of the cage. Sky, does the same thing but she sometimes walks in circles. Do you know why they are doing this?

Walking in circles seems to suggest to me that they are frustrated and would like to come out of the cage. How frequently do they get to spend time out of their cage?

Yeah I just did that, and It actually worked! They aren’t doing it anymore after taking them out. Another mystery solved

how often do you let them out of the cage? for them to end up at such a point of frustration that they're walking circles on the floor (a pretty extreme sign of frustration) I am slightly nervous about how often they're allowed out. Really whenever it is safe for them to come out the door should be open. with a Green Cheek Conure on the way this is definitely a habit you need to get into as if left to their devices in a cage not getting time out daily they can become despondent and begin mutilating themselves given enough time. Not being mean just a word of warning, now is a good time to change habits and get your birds out more. You'll definitely notice a change in personality letting them out to play

Just leave the cage open atleast a couple hours per day and then they have the option to come out if they want. I know some birds dont like the feeling of being caged in all the time and Gcc will need a few hours attention every day outside the cage
