I find that if I give Kyo her chop mix in the morning (which she barely actually eats because she's too busy trying to play with me) she hardly touches any of her pellets throughout the day.

But, when I feed her chop at nighttime instead she'll pig out while I'm working and still pick through the chop at night. Is it odd for a bird to do this? I'd rather her eat more chop anyways but when she's out with me eating it she's just so busy wanting to play she won't eat enough of it. Leaving it in the cage in the morning would mean locking her in and I like letting her out before work, and leaving it in the cage in the evening she won't touch it unless I leave the room, which I don't really want to do either.

Anyone else ever experience this?
