B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
Last night I was making dinner and I forgot to take the cheese out of the freezer, so it was hard as a rock when I went to use it. Started wailing away at it with a big knife(probably not my wisest decision), making quite a ruckus. Then I hear coming from the corner a feathery voice saying "stop." I immediately did, and apologized to her for all the banging.

We did not teach Freedom "stop".

They pick up all sorts of stuff! Some spoken by people, some heard on TV or videos! Funny that Freedom used it in context!!

That's awesome- such intelligence. I wish people understood how SMART they are!!

My house sparrow has turned into such an amazing calm and happy bird since I have been working from home.
Our bond and communication has evolved to such an incredibly healthy level, he impresses me daily.

On the one off times he wants to act out and scream, he follows up with "Kiwi" (his name and my usual first response)

He knows he shouldn't be "acting out" and knows how I will respond. Lol.

He settles down again after a couple more screaches and my "be a good bird quiet whistle"

His intelligence level blows my mind every day
