Hi all! Last year I adopted my darlin Iris via the boards and then due to work changes (and some video games), got too busy to spend much on the forums, but we're still out here and enjoying life.
Since then learned that Iris is certainly a girl -- no eggs, but all the female nesting and courting behavior. She's very gentle and sweet, though not too surprising, jealous of my DH. She just puffs up and I think with some positive reinforcement, she may get over it enough to at least ignore him. (nope, don't put your Amazon on your shoulder. Iris is totally the exception, not the rule for Amazons and biting)
The conures are bonded to each and me and with the exception of Archer the maroon belly continually messing up his tail from hanging upside down, everyone is doing well.
