spring cleaning day on Amigo's cage!

It's a beautiful day here in central Cal, (we had snow three days ago), so I decided to roll Amigo's cage out for a good scrub down. I use warm water and some vinegar to do the cleaning so I wasn't concerned when he flew over to investigate what the heck was going on with his cage...outside even! Now that was a blow!

He's very territorial and when ever something of 'his' is disrupted, be it perch placement, new bowl in cage, new person in territory, he has got to be in on it, to supervise, of course.

He hung out on top of his cage all the way till the spray down was over, he also got a much needed shower, which he enjoyed tremendously, then rolled him and his cage out under the sun, all is well in Amigo's world. Yay!

Happy bird day. He sounds delightful. My Rosie will be very possessive of her cage too.

It took a few years of questioning and not knowing, whether or not, Amigo was delightful. The consensus is...yes...finally, he is delightful! Yes, yes he is!

I have also become a bird person, because of him, and happy for it. They are magnificent beasts!
