So I decided to wash Kiwi's cage and perches this afternoon. Afterwards, I decided to make some toys and 6 hours after I started......

Awesome toys, spoiled happy bird :) Must have been in the air today... victoria spent most of the day making toys and then making up a new chop :)

awesome pics. looks like a happy bird.

Looks like some fun for Kiwi there... That one toy has so many different things on it. I'd love it if I were a bird ;)
I have the same pink/orange forage cup!

So last night as birdie bedtime starts getting near, I see him struggling to climb up the side of his cage (he's an excellent climber) then zooms back down to the bottom, and struggles to climb back up. When I go over to investigate what exactly he is up to, he was picking up all the little beads and knick-knacks from his watermelon that he dropped from the bottom grate and carrying them back up and putting them back :p Well, he was "missing" getting them in the watermelon, but he did get a whole bunch of little toys scattered on the platform, safe from predators and poop in the night :D

Wow, those toys are amazing! And what a good little guy Kiwi is to clean up after himself:)

I spent last friday deep cleaning/ rearranging dusty's cage. I also made him a few new toys, that he is petrified of... I'm hoping he will eventually warm up to them and play with them. he is so fickle about new things!

Hmmm Ebay! I didn't think to look there! I usually shop at my local dollar store for things to piece together as toys :)

Ebay and the Goodwill are my go-to places for toy parts. Kiwi LOVES all manners of baby toys and you can get them so cheap at Goodwill. One would see our living room some days and assume we have several small children, instead of a single spoiled parrot:09: He can't get enough of those little party-favor type toys either. There used to be party stores, but they seem to be a dying thing:(, so I've turned to ebay instead;) I cannot count the amount of acrylic beads, diamonds, rattles, rocking horses and pacifiers made of hard plastic for baby and bridal shower decorations (that are VERY painful to step on) we have floating around:52: We buy toothbrushes and tongue scrapers 10 at a time at the dollar store because he just loves ripping up the handles (we cut off the bristle part) and he's quite fond of the wooden spoons too. We get some very odd looks at the register when we come up with 10 toothbrushes, 10 tongue scrapers, some random baby toys and 3 packs of wood spoons:54:
