So I am going to look at a blue front amazon tomorrow that is missing a wing ( apparently it got caught in a cage and had to be removed ) i'm not sure how long ago and the current owner says the zon (unsexed) gets along fine without it...But I was wondering if there is anything I should be concerned with or aware of going into this new venture
I know some of our members have a few special needs birds and I was wondering if anyone could give me some input
for example Parker spend most of his time on his hanging play gym I made out of boings and stuff, but I didn't know if that would be safe for the new zon

They're just like any other birds really. They play and get into mischief.....Birds adapt to new situation better then what most thinks. I've had birds that needed a foot amputated and had one with a broken wing before and they do quite well.

When I saw the title I thought, "bird must be a Raiders fan"...:D

I had a one-footed bird years ago...I just had to make sure that everything was ground level and that the cage was low and easily accessible...
I kept the wings clipped because he could fly, but not land safely due to lack of balance. He didn't live a very long life, but he lived a happy loved life. :)
