Southern California parrots

Ran across this local piece of news on our parrot flocks.
Sounds like they are thriving.

They can be so very adaptable, there are rainbow lorikeets in New Zealand now, and flocks of IRNs thrive in environments as diverse as London, Tokyo and Perth, Western Australia! The article you linked mentions the potential to help replenish some species back into their natural ranges too - how wonderful would that be?! 😍

I have seen news reports of love birds in Arizona living in saguaro cactus.
Amazing they can live in such a hot/dry area.

I would love if they could resurrect the carolina Parakeet and re-introduce them to the wild. Lots of species could help them live in the wild again! I know it's a complex issue, but I figure every little bit helps :)

Very cool the parrots are doing so well !

We had a massive community of quakers in our city of Carteret NJ until the power company removed the nests and birds!
How beautiful it was to see them foraging, flying, visiting our garden?
It was SO BEAUTIFUL!!

We are so concerned about how invasive non-native parrots can be, when all we do is destroy everything we come into contact with.

Great: get rid of the parrots, because of how they effect the local wild life, while laying down some more asphalt.
